not one bird. from 1st light to 9am, literally not a bird flew by?! at 10am, i put my gun down and just stared into space - completely skunked! it started to warm up and i knew i was toast. finally got a super-dinky one. in defense of my spot (which i got a bunch the last 2 openers) i heard very little shooting around me, although i thought i read some guy got a bunch in colusa. it was getting cold at night the week prior, but jeez, ONE bird. i literally saw ducks flying through oak trees.
