Well went up high to beat the heat. Set up camp were the Clavey River meets Bourland Creek. Scouted Wed thru Friday morning had 2 does and a nice 3x4 buck come in right at sunrise about 40yds upwind from us along a Bourland Creek way up in the meadow area. looked very promising. Headed back out at 4:00am Sat morning and waited for the sun to come up. Set up in some natural blinds until 9:00am with no sign of anything so we did some spot and stock to no avail. There were fresh track everywhere just could not get the job done. There are bear all over the area we saw two and heard one. That evening we different worked a meadow and had a bear chase a large buck out of some cover about 100 yards in front of us. Only had a few hours to hunt on Sunday morning and had no luck whats so ever. We had a doe who kept coming into camp, pretty sure it is the same doe as last year that did the same thing in the same area. Again I will say there are a LOT of bear up there this year, and it appears there are a nice amount of deer. Will be going back up before archery closes.

At least you seen some . I can't go till next week.
. But I have the whole week off. Thats a cool area that you was at.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

No bear tag, and I regretted it. Buying one tomorrow though so I am ready this weekend.
