Real tractors have two cylinders and hand clutches.
My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.

Nice! I've always wanted a wingmaster. I think a nice little 20 ga would be sweet.Clamp, I gotta line on a real nice used Left Handed Wingmaster in 12 ga. Hope to get it this week. If I do I will use it come Sept. 1st. If not, I will break out the old Ithaca/SKB over/under that was given to me by my Grandparents.
I think the Flues was the nicest pointing of the Ithaca doubles. I have a plain Jane field grade 12. I bet that #2 grade is a sweety."Doc"An Ithaca Flues grade 2 16 ga w/ Krupp Fluid Steel made in 1912.Mountain Quail !!!

It's funny, you go to a dedicated shotgun forum like shotgun world and the Remington autos get knocked for blowing o-rings and all other sorts of derogatory remarks but I remember as a kid shooting my uncles 1100 for three dove seasons and never once had any sort of problem. It was a heavy bugger but one of the prettiest guns I ever hunted with.Since the brother wants to try the 20ga 870 before he buys one, and I won't be walking much, I'll continue to use Martha, my old 100 lb 12ga 1100 with her 30 (seems like 100) inch full choke barrel. She's about as reliable as they come. I will bring the 12ga Ithaca 37 Featherweight as a back-up though.

The pheasant openner in South Dakota, I'll be totin a clone of the Ithaca NID with full and fuller chokes in .410 using some #6 shot 3" shells.
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog or gun
Maintain a balance of nature, use a beautiful gun when shooting a beautiful bird

Nice!!!!! A .410 NID is darn near worth its weight in gold (well, maybe silver now that the dollar isn't worth anything) I'm an Ithaca man too, just like my dad. I have two NIDs, one Flues, and my dad has a Lewis. All 12s. I looked up the date of manufacture on my NIDs when I got them and if I remember right one was a 1926 and the other was a 1927 or a '28. Both are field grade guns and the the "newer" one has the stars like yours does. I love the cocking indicators on them. I sure wish American gun makers would still produce an affordable double.1927 Ithaca NID field grade .410 with 28" barrels, Modified left barrel, cylinder right barrel, 3" shells with 7 1/2 shot for quail.
