August 20th deer archery season opens for D3-5. Im stoked! Anybody gonna be out there, should be nice and toasty... Cant wait to get off work and be able to go out hunting for the PM then camp out and do a morning hunt before I go to work. I love my new job!

Nice. Have you been up there to do any scouting? I'm assuming there's still a good amount of snow up there. I know out in the Red Lakes area there is still a good amount of snow...

I think my family will be up around Sand Ridge and Back side of Signal Peak (aka Red Mountain). I drew an X7a tag - my brother and I went to scout X7a this weekiend and saw a coupel small bucks & does...

I know up around my cabin where I hunt the bucks aren't where they will be in hunting season. They still haven't fully got the velvet off so they are still hanging out in the open areas. Another few weeks and they will be moving into the brush. But at least right now you have a chance of seeing some nice deer.

havnt done any scouting i like to use bow season as scouting im getting ready this weekend to go x12 scouting for the first time but once d5 archery starts il b in d5
