Bunny season starts this month on the 30th. Looks to be a good crop of them this year. Don't forget to renew your hunting lisence before then!

I think you are a day early. Though DFG has not posted the Upland/Small game seasons yet for 2011-2012, Cottontails open with the new license year on July 1st.

I was at the county fair today talking to a farmer and he mentioned that cotton tails have a puss pocket you need to look out for. Can someone shed some light on that? What if I cook the crap out of the bunny, will it be safe to eat?

They can have bot flie larva but they are safe to eat if they are there its just under the skin . And theres no puss . Its july 1st.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
