Anyone fish the Kern yet? I'll be going out there in two weeks and was wondering what flies I should use or try. I am a noob to the sport of fly fishing. I was thinking on using a salmon egg fly since I did really well on real salmon eggs with a spin rod.

The river is roaring right now with the highest flows that I've seen in 18 years of living here
