Well I hope to have my tuned .25 cal Daystate Air Ranger by my birthday on the 17th of this month, now I just need to get a scope and I want a MIL DOT scope and it has to go down to 10 yards. I was looking at a few diffrent ones and would like sugestions. I'm using Bushnell 5-15x40 on 3 of my guns and Bushnell Elite 3200 tactial MIL DOT with target turrets on my other 2 guns. Hawk or a Bushnell and I really like this one Bushnell

I would love to see you try it on a gopher, but thanks for the helpful sugestion though.

I nearly ran a chipmunk over on my road on one of my ATVs a while ago. :-) Seriously I have a Nightforce NSX 8-32 and the Hawke etched glass 1/2 mil dot reticle is that good on the the Tacticals. A lot of the Daystates in England are dressed with Hawke Sidewinders. The Bushnells have great glass but the reticle just isn't the same.

When I take sons out hunting there not shooting much past 50 yards and most of the time you might get 5-10 yards from a gopher hole before you see it in the grass and when there comming out of there hole you have to just freeze until they go down for another load of dirt. But you dont have time or the line of sight in the grass to see a mound let a lone a gopher head sticking 1" out of it's hole for a split second to run back to 25+ yards.

I might be tempted to put one of my Eotech red dots for jump shooting gophers at close range. It is good for 100 yards on an AR and then you can add a magnifier that swings up. They are neat sights. I also have one on a Browning Buckmark 22 target pistol.

One ranch I go to has hundreads of gopher holes and I think there a lot harder to shoot then squirrels since there not out of the ground running around and there the size of a twinky or smaller.

Sounds like our chipmunks around the neighborhood and they are very destructive.
