the .454 Casull has better ballistics than the .480 Ruger round. another plus is that you can use mild .45 Long Colt in the .454 Casull

Or with a 454 Casull, you can shoot hot loads in the 45 Colt.BUT,if you have a regular 45 Colt,be sure to keep those hot loads separate.Mark them on the base of the case with a red permanent marker.

last year a guy in Alaska killed a charging grizzly at about 8 ft with a .44mag, is it practical no but it can be done

lol, yeah well i was in priest river id last november going thru the woods and its very thich with timber up there. hunting for deer and i was carrying my big .357 boy did i feel the security. lol. that is why i bought a .44 mag which is alittle better but not much. if i ever get the chance to go back to visit my friend up there i wont feel much better with the 44 but maybe the shot to my head well be faster lol robert
