So I just start reloading and noticed that only the 40gr. BT lead free is listed on the DFG's certified lead free roster, but Nosler also offers 50gr. BT lead free as well, does this mean I can not use the 50gr. in the "lead free" area? Does DFG update their lead free ammo roster? I can't find an updated version? Thx.

I have not head of a Nosler 50 gr "lead free" bullet for the 223. The only ones I am aware of are the 35 & 40 gr bullets in lead free for the 223. Either the 50 gr NON lead is something REALLY brand new, or you are reading the information incorrectly. I suspect the later... However ?Frank

Those are all lead bullets... "Marketing" is alive and well, which I often hate. Sometimes too many (& confusing) choices in other words... for me anyhow. lol

You're right, the 50gr. are lead bullets, the bt lead free are 35gr. and 40gr. only. Thanks again.
