ok so last year was my first duck season and i got acess to some property in sutter. it is flooded rice but i cannot dam it up i halfto let it drain witch made for awesome speck shooting this year but there were prob about 150% more snows than specks im just wonderin how to get the snows in i shot a few whean they were flyin low in windy/foggy days but how do u get tem to work wo 1000s of deks that i cant afford

Unfortunately with snows you do kind of need decoys, and in the rice that means a lot of them. On the other hand you can easily use rags and shells to cut down on your costs and do just as well. Full body decoys are nice, but are not necessary to attract birds.

Shoot the Specs and forget those (flying carp) Snows. They are not worth the trouble of cleaning and trying to prepare for the table. I know I'm going to hear from someone that has a great recipe, but I've tried most recipes over the past 40 years without any success. I don't shoot them unless my shooting partner wants them. Now Specs on the other hand are the BEST, period.

ya but if i got snow deks i would get all the specks too my buddies have a combined mabye 60 snow shells but it doesnt seem like thats enough it seems like theyll look but not come in mabye if there were more deks
