I've been working up a load for my .308 semi auto for long range and varmint shooting. I think this might do the trick!

You better start over, as you completely missed the bullseye. LOL You would not believe how many inexperienced &/or non-shooters have told me that over the yrs & why I seldom show anyone anymore. Talk about making me speechless!
Anyway, yep, looks like your there. IMR 8208 XBR is a great powder & friends & I have had excellent results in both our 223 & 22-250's with it. Except for my 223 that is, which only reconfirms that each gun is different. One question. Did you subtract .308" diameter from your over all .625 score? It appears you arrived at that # measuring from outside to outside? That group appears MUCH smaller than .625 in other words, but pics can be deceiving however. Always nice when finding a great load.

I wasn't sure if the measurement was to be from inside to inside or outside to outside. This is outside to outside. I'm still working up a load for my 22-250. Waiting for Berger 70gr VLD's to arrive.

You measure them center to center. That group will work fine for you.

Targets can be measured either way... center to center or from outside to outside such as yours. Just have to subtract the bullet's diameter from the over all measurement when measuring from outside to outside. With that in mind, your group actually measures .317", nearly HALF the size of the original .625", which of course makes your excellent group substantially better. Some folks do not care for the outside measuring method, as they feel the type & thickness of the paper can effect the accuracy of the measurement. I am not too sure about that, nor am I that anal about it, just wanting to get close enough; Usually within 1/16th to 1/8th inches. Or there abouts!Looks like your on a roll and good luck with your 22-250... my personal favorite "predator" caliber!Frankp.s. I measure mine from center to center btw
