Blue goose. Sounds like she is afraid to leave your side You over trained her to stay by you off leash .. take her out to some pond and teach her to retreave again..... Do not scold her.... Make it fun...

My dog is eight months old. and thats all they know at this point i'm sure you were teaching her heel and stay with you when your walking with her. so i'm sure she is doing the same when your out hunting when you want her pushing birds or workin out in front! don't worry! she is comftorable there. go play fetch with her in different areas like near some ponds or out away from anything just differ the situation and she will start to get more comftorable. I would be willing to bet by next duck season she will be killin it! she will be about the prime age to start being a hell of a dog and you will be happy! congrats on the blue! that's a trophy!

Like the others have said, you hammered her too much on heel. It's ok though, just go back to having fun with her and lay off the training for a bit and start using your release word to get her to go and play and have fun. After you get her used to hearing and obeying the release word again start going back to training, but stay away from heel for awhile. Maybe do some recall work and as soon as she comes in praise her and then give the release word and play time. Repeat this process a little bit until she gets comfortable coming in and going and having fun on the release word. When you go for walks don't keep her at heel, let her walk around and play, but give her a recall every so often to get her to come in during a walk and then release her with the command. She should get used to being comfortable walking with you out on her own, but still be reliable on recall which is more important than having her at heel all the time anyway.
