I was out at Little Dry Creek on Saturday. We spend all day out there and managed close to two duck limits and 4 specks. My first geese of the year. About darn time. Everything we shot was completely plumed out and beautiful.

I think Sprig and Pintail are the same duck, or sometimes know as spreet tail ducks. At least as i am to understand it. Could some one else verify this some how?It was a good day. The rest of the weekend was mostly sprig and pintail here and there.

They are called Northern Pintails. Sprig is the way you describe a younger Pintail. Bull Sprig is a fully plumaged male Pintail. Same duck. Hens are called hen Pintail. We also call them "pinners," or "pins" in general. Never heard the words spreet tail in my life.
