Are the Reflex lighted reticle sights leagle for Coyote hunting in Ca? I thought I read somewhere in the regs that battery powered reticles couldn't be used since they use artifical light?

As long as the scope does not project light or intensify light it is legal.

Thanks for the clarification. After research I discovered that it can't be used for big game, I knew I read something somewhere.

Question about this. My friend got an aimpoint for his AR, can he use that for hunting? Was the answer no for all hunting or just for big game? Could he use it for varmint hunting?
