Pat and I went out on the boat before school this morning. It was pretty foggy on the delta. We decided to look for (more like listen for) a goose grind. We found it, and the fog kept them pretty low.We took one wood duck, 8 specks, and 7 snows. We held out a bit trying for one more snow to complete our limits, but Pat had school, so we had to go. This was by far the most successful goose hunt I've ever been on.Attached File  1.jpg   28.56K   20 downloads

  • Interests:I am into foraging of all kinds. Hunting for game is just one aspect. Every time I am out in the back country I am looking for edible, useful and medicinal flora and fauna. I am also constantly working on survival skills. Hunted as a boy for squirrel, rabbit and some upland birds. I am a farmer by trade and I work for an organic farm founded on ethical work practices.

Man- o-man Timmy! That looks like a great hunt. I wish that I lived in such proximity to decent hunting areas that I could catch a short hunt before my morning obligations kick in. I am 100% ;)! Good luck out there next time!

Yeah, I've never had it like today before. Last year I did not get a single goose. I've never gotten more than one on a trip, and never more than about 3 or 4 a year. Today was magic
