The season starts November 16 for the balance of the state who is going after them.I found out beaver has started already Nov 1 I want a pelt .I know of a few runs out of a river where they travel.

Am I looking in the wrong spot?CA DFG Gray Fox Regs§461. Badger and Gray Fox. (B ) Gray fox may be taken as follows: (1) Season and Area: November 24 through the last day of February, statewide. (2) Bag and Possession Limit: No limit.To answer your question; I'll be after 'em. I'd like to get a couple tanned this year.

Racoon opens the 16, Fox is on the 24. You know Im going to try for a fox.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Beaver pelts make great floor mats or throw rugs. I used to hand tan them when they weren't good salable pelts. I gave a number of them away as gifts to hunting friends.

Yeah I think so......hunting perserves my sanity, one year without would kiiill me. :lol:

Yeah I did and ended up almost pooping my pants.I had a pack of coyotes howling and yipping at me so I pulled out the fox pro and played some howls after 5 minutes of hearing them react to it a coyote let loose behind me close up. I swung around and could not see him in my light he was in an irrigation ditch that was heavy with weeds and he was close to.I could never see him and he went away. It get's spooky at night by yourself.I did play bobcat in distress and got a big feral cat.How dumb this cat is it went around me and still went for the sound.
