I am a new Hunter, as you have probably guessed by now. I have a simple question; Is it legal to put trail cams on public land? Such as a Wildlife Area in California? Just curiosity, after reading and seeing some excellent shots. Hope I haven't irk'd anyone with my question. Thanx to all in advance

Yep, perfectly OK, even areas that don't allow hunting. However, be careful in the way you mount them so they are discovered and stolen.

What? Don't you have a full keyboard? If so, why not type out what you want to say so it makes sense. Thanks.

LOL. As stated earlier, be careful where you put it. I had two of mine stolen before. Trust me, it's just like throwing money away when that happens.

Heck - the best use of a trail cam is to point it back at your truck so you can catch the scum breaking into it while you are out hunting!
