Went up to bear river for opening weekend. Not as many hunters and I was told as compared to last year. I would wait mid-season if you hunt the area. just to many damn kids on ATV's this weekend not to mention all the target shooters. I was hearing shooting almost till 2300 hrs. Hit the trails beind the Bear River camp grounds on Saturday. Was working the brush when I spooked up a Buck, saw the horns but couldn't get a shot. Didn't want to pull a Dick Cheney on my niece.Hit the onion valley area on sunday morning with my uncle. We parked the truck and went out ways. Within 10 minutes I heard a shot and new the he got a buck. Got a 3x2. He gut shot it and we had to track the damn thing for 2 hours. OH well.... I didn't get anything but better luck next year.

Hey if they can read mine yours no problem
Nice deer.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
