Yes, Yes and Yes. Just make sure you have your bobcat tags. Better check on the area you plan to hunt for any light restrictions but most places it okay.

Big difference in the regulations from southern Ca and northern Ca......you would be wise to try and have a conversation with the local game warden. Also, there are some differences between doing it on public land and private land. I have talked with about 3 different folks from Fish and Game about this subject and get 3 different answers......that is why it is almost imperative that you talk personally with the local guy who enforces the law. Even if you are doing everything right, you may still get a ticket. The fine might be cheaper than trying to beat the court system. Unfortunately there are a few wardens out there that will write "bad tickets" because they know they got you by the jewels unless you are very rich.

Boy Bill, you said a mouthful about getting different answers from everyone you talk to at Fish & Game. I finally found a Captain that is very knowledgeable and will give it to me in writing. Last year I had a terrible fight over using my FoxPro on crows and finally the Federal guy called Fish & Game to set them straight on their own regulations. So I carry the part of the law that pertains to my use with me when possible. 223Larry lives down your way so that's why I gave my answer. But you're right about Northern and Southern California being different. :)

My wife and I have had one good run in with a not to bright game warden here in Nevada, I always carry copies of the laws with me so I can "Enlighten" them to the error of their percieved ways. Never a pleasant thing to deal with but it sure helped Linda and I out of an ugly situation..Look up the laws pertaing to what you are doing and copy them to cover your legal butt...Walt
