Let me start with saying I am new to the board and I am very new to hunting. I am looking forward to just spending more time in the outdoors getting to know habitats, doing my homework. I have read the DFG rules and the site on Angeles NF but am still confused, if someone can help me understand I would much appreciate it. I know the regulations about no hunting within a 150 yards of recreation areas. I will be using a bow and yes I know I would have a better chance with a pellet gun but what can I say I love the bow.I am interested in hunting rabbits and hares at Angeles NF and all I can find is hunting is allowed in the Angeles NF. Does this mean the wilderness areas (like Cleveland NF) or everywhere in the forest? I have read check out places that are close to waterways, fenceways and blackberry bushes, if you can suggest any other habitat to keep an eye out for I would be grateful.Thank you for the help in advance

Pretty sure your answer is yes . The way I understand it. And I think a bow is much better than a air rifle for rabbits. :smiley-innocent-halo-yellow: But air rifles are cool. Wheres the picture of your bow?
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Don't have a picture of it honestly never thought of taking one. I have a horse bow and had a pse coyote though I don't really like the coyote that much, feels way to short for me and I just don't like the way it shoots, sounded like it's splintering when i drew it and suddenly three weeks ago I had a limb failure on it splintering the length of the limb...thinking of saving up for a 3rivers dalaa as a Christmas present getting it a little longer then the coyote, any suggestions on bow weight? Right now I'm shooting 45 lbs, at the moment all my research suggests that an ok poundage for pretty much deer on down in size ...though I don't have deer in my sights for atleast 2 more years...also my draw lenth is 30 so I believe I am getting some extra lbs in the longer draw..
