Has anyone tried coyote jerky??? I'm thinking it may be too close to eating dog for my tastes.

I can't imagine eating any animal that is primarily a carnivore. The closest I have eaten would be a bear but they are omnivores. That does not include mystery meat in some restaurants...that's another story.

There's another site where a guy claims to eat it and even gives it out to all of his followers.

You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

When I was in vietnam we used to wonder down to the Philippine compound and drink san miguel beer and they used to bring out these little plates of cooked meat that we would eat. We had been down their several times before we found out what were eating,DOG. Always did wonder about a puppy tied up to a apc or tank and then never seeing it again.

Its really a matter of tradition and culture. In college I had a roommate who was from china and he was "taken aback" at all the dogs running lose in the house - he was used to dogs kept in pens as livestock. Also, based on my reading, California Indians would never eat any kind of reptile but absolutely loved insect larva especially yellow jacket pupae. Great protein source :)I have eated rattlesnake and its really not to bad.To each his own I guess. :smiley-innocent-halo-yellow:
