My grandpa has a mechanically perfect (although not cosmetically perfect) 1903 pocket hammerless, which is missing the rear sight. Can anyone who has one measure the rear sight to see if I could replace it with a dovetailed 1911 rear sight instead maybe? I was only able to find one place online that sold the original front sight and it was $40 including shipping. That seems like a little too much to pay for a rear sight to me.
