This time I took my Dominator 1250 HPA .22 and MAC 1 1377C. I brought my Discovery for back up,but did not use it.I bought the Dominator 1250 from Roald at the 850 forum. He had modified this rifle by using a flow modded 850 valve and fit a 22ci 3000 psi tank/1900 psi regulator. On chrono,it shoots 940 FPS/30 FPE using JSB 15.8 GR. I have not hunted much with this rifle as it is my 50 Benchrest match rifle....but...it is absolutely devastaing on squirrels...all 4 squirrels I shot just slumped down in their tracks and only 'twitched' a bit. The MAC 1 1377C is an excellant choice for close range work out to 30 yards. Very useful on ranch hunts around barns/sheds..I have fit a cheap BSA Red Dot and have found this set up more convienient than a scope..only mods are accuracy prep and steel breech. No power mods..it shoots RWS Super H's at 560 FPS...CT from 22 yards offhand..Posted ImageSquirrel from 40 yards..he was facing me and shot went right thru his skull..Posted ImagePosted Image

Thanks..I hunt alone most of the time..sometimes I get a good belly laugh at myself shooting these ground squirrels out there....I've seen some funny stuff hunting these critters.Sometimes I use bait to coax squirrels out on these ranches...the one I'm doing now has a pet donkey named Rosebud...he follows me around getting in the way and eating my squirrel food,so I drop carrots for him out of the way to keep him occupied...but always have to check where he is before I shoot...lol

Good shooting Rich, I didn't realize rabbit season was open already. I may have to give my CO2 rifles and pistol some field time, since the marauder keeps stealing the show.I plan on going down to Ramona on the weekend of august 14/15. Not sure which date yet.Give me a call and we can get together there, I lost your number after my old phone broke. I probably won't make it to prado, since my FT scope is in for service.Steve
