I purchased 20 pieces of Norma brass in 7.62x54R to use for hunting. It finally arrived, but it's too short! Trim-to length is 2.105" but every piece of the Norma brass is 2.090".
I thought Norma was supposed to be "premium" stuff... As a note, I have about 200+ pieces of S&B brass that are just fine lengthwise and barely need to be trimmed.

The Norma brass is fine. That's a recommend trim length you just don't want to exceed the 2.105". Below it is fine. As long as you can seat the diameter of the bullet in the neck of the case you're safe.

That's right, MAX meaning the longest. You never want to exceed the max length. That's why shorter is OK. Just not so short you can't hold the bullet diameter in the case mouth. So what I'm saying is too long and pressures go way up and BIG BANG theory becomes reality.I dunno. My manual says the max is 2.115"
