Went out late this after noon for a quick rabbit hunt . Took the jungle bow and arrows out. There was still a few squirrels out but they would not let me get close for a shot. Went to a spot that has cottontails . Had time for maybe a thirty minute hunt . It only took ten minutes to get dinner .Seen this guy at about forty yards ,made a stalk got to maybe tweenty and he was getting nervus . Brought the bow up kept telling my self look at only the shoulder. Before I new what happend the rabbit was flopping with the self made blunt tip on a self made arrow. Shot from a rebuilt kinda self made bow. Heres some pictures. This is where He took the dirt napPosted ImageHeres one at the truck. sun was setting so I only got the one. But it was one of the coolest short hunts I have done.Posted ImageBuddy comming buy at dark thirty tomarow going to see if we can get a coyote or two. And some more bunnies. My rifles are beginning to not like me.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Is that a 357 mag shell on the arrow for your blunt? Good shooting!

It was one .I grind off the rim then use a 3/8" drill to form a cup at the tip. The cup has a sharp edge for cutting and the cup also causes lots of shock. Its then epoxied on a 110grn field point. Heres a picture. My wife thinks that I think abought this stuff too much. :good: Posted Image

I get compleat pass thrues and some times the go in one side and hang up and take the squirrel for a ride. Bunnies are almost always a pass thrue. on big jack rabbits they bounce off unles your right up on them ,jacks have tuff hides when intack. I like old broad heads for the jacks.
