I think I'm gonna take my 7x57mm out this season.
Sharps, the rifle that made the west safe for Winchester!

Real tractors have two cylinders and hand clutches.

My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.

It will be my 6.5-284 or the 300 Weatherby Accumark. Both rifle needs to be bloodied.

I will probably take my 257 wby even though its overkill but I want to get some blood on it. Once it gets its first kill I may or may not revert back to the 25.06 unless I can talk my brother out of his 7mm-08

But for nevada it will be the weatherby and I will take my new 300rum in case it gets real windy it needs blood still too

Nitis, there's no such thing as overkill. Now that I'm loading for my friends 257 Roy, I'm beginning to believe that it is a perfect deer cartridge. For a number of years, most of my hunt was with 300 Win Mag, loaded with 180 grain bullet at almost 3000 fps. It never cross my mind that it's an overkill, or I'm overgunned. I've hunted mostly public land and at times, the only shot you'll ever have are two zip codes away. I like that extra horsepower and the knockdown power of the heavy bullet at my disposal.Going back to the 257, I found a really accurate load with the 115 grain Barnes TSX using 61 grains of Reloader 25. You probably see my posting at the Nosler Forum. I started with IMR 4831 during my load development but ended up with Reloader 25. I found this cartridge easy to reload. I'm beginning to like this cartridge a lot... I won't mind having one. After all this is the only bore diameter I don't have in my battery. It will fit nicely in my line-up bellow.Posted Image

It's not a priority right now. I'm working on 7WSM for a dedicated F-Class rig and probably a 375 Cheytac after that. The 257 can wait. :yahoo:

30-30 and 450 marlin, never been in any more open country for more, they both will do double duty bear season lights off

How about a Stick and String? I will be shooting my Compound bow in the early season and my 30-06 in the later season.

I have a Mathews I like that'll do the job. My dad, too, was a .30-06 man. He always said it's the one rifle for all types of rifle hunting!

My recurve or my stick bow for the most part . Late season 243 or 270.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

450 bushmaster. Hornady is supposed to come out with lead free this year. Hopefully in time for bear. I just bought a small press, so maybe I can make my own. I can't wait.

I'm taking my ONLY deer rifle, it is a weatherby vanguard, which is just a nicer howa 1500, chambered in .30-06.I will probably be shooting sierra 125 grain pro hunters over 61 grains of w760, unless I find a better shooting load before then. Those group sub moa for me.

I'm not hunting deer this year but I normally use a 264 Win Mag. Flat shooting and hard hitting.

Any caliber thats in your hands when you spot a deer is good as long as its centerfire.

When rifle is prohibited I will be using my Toxik. When general season opens I will have my Marlin XL7 in .270 in my hands. There are two bucks in the area I hunt that the warden says are still out there :roflmao3[1]: If they don't fall to the stick and string or the rifle I still have my Omega to pick up the slack.

Model 70 in .270 WBY, Hand loaded 130gr Nosler E-tips is my preference and what I use as my main Deer slayer...
