This has been a pretty good year for squirrels up there. It was pretty slim a couple years ago but there seems to be a resurgence of them again.

Hi John, You are right about the numbers this year. I don't have any history shooting in Cedarville but I can tell you I am amazed at the number of squirrels I have seen every trip up there this year. The explosion in the number of squirrels after the little ones emerged this year was amazing. In talking to the locals, I think they all agree (much to their dismay) that this is a bumper year for squirrels. The harvest is way behind schedule due to the cold weather so the bulk of the cutting will probably not start until the end of this month. If the tempeatures stay cool we should still have some good shooting opportunities after the first cut. I know I will be going back.
