Heres my coyote dispatch weapon when trapping. Its the only pistol I can shoot worth a darn and with those augula hot 22 lr rounds seems to have allot more power. Is there any clips still available for them i wonder ?I would like to get a spare clip.Posted Image

Thanks John and lynn. It is really amazing how accurate that little gun is.I forgot I had it actually ,looking for my lr cylinder for my ruger singe six. My grand paw gave it to me years ago along with a Colt New service 44-40 holster and all.

I almost bought one recently. it's the "cheap" woodsman but I think the only real difference is the lack of the last shot hold open feature? Every once in awhile I come across a decent deal on a Woodsman or Huntsman but I haven't purchased one yet.

The Woodsman is a great firearm. Originally designed by John Moses Browning as a training pistol for the military who had wanted to save some money by having the men practice with a 22LR instead of the 1911 in 45 ACP. The military changed their mind and Browning sold the patent to Colt. Like all John Browning's masterpieces it is a winner. I was surprised to learn this the other night when I was watching a documentary on John Moses Browning narrated by Fess Parker. It was a few years old but a great documentary. You can watch it online at http://www.byutv.org/watch/48-100 I have one and it is a fine shooter even though it looks rough from years and years of use.
