The La Paz area is very nice. Once you leave the harbor, drop the hook in the isthmus of Isla Espirtu Santo and dig some clams. It is a beautiful anchorage. There are loads of fish in the Sea of Cortez....have a ball.

Yea Red I've fished down there a bunch when I was a kid. My Dad used to fly us down before the paved road was there. We'd land on dirt strips at Bay of of LA, Mulege, Loreto, La Paz, and end up at Rancho Buena Vista. Man those are some good memories. We'd come home overloaded with frozen loined out fish and sunburned as a good Irishman could get. This buddy of mine has new 65' Mikelson (? spell) so we are heading out beyond the normal fish grounds of La Paz and just staying on the boat. His boat so I'm along to do what ever I can do to help and catch fish. We've got some guys going that need help. One of them told me I didn't get invited because of my blue eyes. I'm like a farmers duck, flat footed and don't give a F>>>h. I'm sure it will be a good time.

I am sure you will have a great time and catch bunchess of fish. BUT.... At night, be very wary of boats that want to come very close or next to you. Remember, you are in a forign country with different laws and different people. A 65 foot boat, out at sea, is a grand target. Have a short talk with all hands before you get out to sea, and be aware.

No Fish, No Fish Pics but we had a great time. Caught a couple of Bonita, shark, and one Cabrilla that I knocked off the hook.
