You know, I looked at one of these and I didn't get sold on it.. I really like my .45 ACP’s and I love my 10mm's.. This is a wildcat round that in my opinion never took off. Unless you reload, the ammo is pricey and not avail at most stores.. On the other hand I have not heard anything bad about the GAP round either..

High priced ammo that can be somewhat difficult to find. I'm not a big supporter of any of the .45's...ACP, GAP, LC. I can't think of a good reason for any of the 45's. Home defense, hunting, plinking, shooting paper...better choices are out there. SnS

No personal experience with this cartridge, but everything I've read is positive. .45ACP performance in a more compact package. The only downside I know of, as Camoghost mentioned, is the availability of ammo on the dealers shelves. The ammo is generally available, but if there is not enough demand in your local area, it probably won't be on the shelves. I think there have been several state's highway patrol that have adopted this cartridge. .45 power in a 9mm frame pistol.

Ballistically has a slight edge over the standard .45 ACP because of the higher pressures that it is loaded to. But, the main kicker is availability. Glock jumped into this one with both feet. sadly it has not really taken off. I agree with what the other guys have said...hard to find and expensive ammo

I guess I will look at .45 acp as the argument about availability of ammo is getting my attention. I think it will also be easier to reload the acp rather than the gap.

I think it would be a great cartridge but I've never seen the ammo for sale anywhere, ever other than online. A gun without ammo is just a paper weight.
