In califoprnia any bait for bear is a no no , theres goes soaking the neighbours poodle with sardine oil and staking it out idea. .

You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

If your really going to get your Bear Tags, let me know, I'll get some and we can roll together.Well, I wasn't going to do it, but I am going to get my bear tags. I need to scout for some ground that is easy for me to get around on and do some some scouting.

No. But I think we can stumble around the NF enough to bump into something.. I've been up around Arrowhead before but not for bears. Rumor has it that they have there fair share.Have you got a place to hunt? If so lets make some plans.

Isn't that the way it gos the hunting never stops this is the best time of year all the big game hunting is starting and up land will be coming soon I now want too try too get a BOB cat after seeing all of the cat pics this stuff is addicting I need Help................. 
If someone can make that cub in-distress sound then for sure a bear will come in too the call . It would be ready too kick butt so I wouldn't hunt alone . I am having doubts that my 270 will be enough gun.

A 270 will be plenty.I am having doubts that my 270 will be enough gun.

NO e callers for bear I checked . I was planing on using 150 grn silver tip win is there another bullet someone has good experience with in the 270.

I was using the 150's in my 270 for deer. They were federal fusions I think when I bought a bear tag along with my deer tags for D14 just in case I stumbled across a bear. But since I don't hunt that zone any more I have been shooting my 243. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a bear with a 270 with 150gr bullets.
