I have the black Kimber 1911 TLE/RL similar to the one above. Mine has the internet hated external extractor. It's my go to handgun and shoots squirrels offs rock with a .22 cal conversion easily, just ask Joel
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Yep I love my Kimber Custom 45 ACP, Best shootin pistola I have , reliable feeds like a dream,Great Gun! 
By the way I Have a Ciner 22 conversion for the Kimber an it also works great,and shooting the 22's get's me a lot more practice at very little cost compared to the 45 ammo!

Go to 1911forum.com or pistolsmith.com and search in the Kimber forums for external extractors. There are a lot of people saying Kimber's external extractor is garbage. I guess it does have some merit because recently Kimber has begun to mfg they're handguns with internal extractors which is the original design. With that said I have shot more then a thousand rounds through my TLE/RL and have never had an issue. IMHO there is no better handgun then an accurate and reliable 1911internet hated external extractor?? whats that never heard of it can you give me the info.

wheel guns are ok if your 45 or olderUnless it's a more accurate and more reliable wheelgun!
