At 3:00today (11/6) the bid session will be over for a Sightron (used) S1 2.5x10x44. My bid is $105.00 I'm the current high bidder.Bushnell makes the elite(4200) version of this for $325.00 (Brand new) So just how inferrior is the Sightron to the Bushnell. The sightron new is $200.00 bucks.Putting on my Mod 70 270WSM.

The Elite 4200 is a top end scope. I love the Elite's, I have two.I have no experiance with Sightron though.Obviously I have been of no help here

Hey Larry,I have several Bushnell E4200's and one E3200 . . . GREAT GLASS! With that being said . . . I have no Sightron information at all . . . I am not much help either . . . but I love my Bushnells! :blink:Kevin

I agree Steve, my BIG MONEY 30mm Leupold VXIII's with the varmint reticles and the side focus are really really nice. But I've had excellent success with those 6.5-20X44 Nikon Monarchs with the fine reticle. That all said I just purchased a Burris Short Mag Scope 4.5X-14X, Ballistic Plex Reticle, PA, Matte. It is going on my Contender .17HMR!

The Sightron SII is more camparable to the Elite 4200. The SI is the "economy" version, and the SII is much nicer. They're good scopes for the money. Lots of folks recommend them over at snipersparadise and other long range shooting sites. I had a Sightron SII 4-16x42 on my Rem 700 VS SF .308 and it was a great setup.

Hey Shooter John That coyote walking !!!Didn't you get that from "Predator Masters" ? How do you get that dude on your e-mail? Or can you? Obviously you have it as your signature. How? B)Well I won the bid I got that sightron for $99.00.... Didn't feel comfortable biting the bullet for another expensive scope. Couple a days ago I bought a Burris Black Diamond 8x32x50 fine plex including Burris rings and caps for about $750.00. Thought hard about a Leupold but several sources said the Black Diamond is better glass than the Leupold Vx!!! series. But not as good as thier M4 our premier. But those dudes were going for $1,100 Plus. Forget it!!!! I'd rather buy a Night Force,or a S&B ,Ziess. Soon I'll be getting my Fox Pro from UPS..
