SDHunt,Your original post was in July...have you shot anything else since then?Spot and Stalk. I am not exactly sure what you mean. I guess my original picture does have them haphazardly arrayed. In future posts I will certainly make the effort to line them up pretty
Better yet, I see that you are from SD also, care to join me and let's see if we can double our bounty??! I will let you lay them out however you like. SDH

Any success with the lagomorphs or canis latrans? It seems as though the coyote population is down compared to last year. For now, just lagomorphs will fill the game bag. And maybe an unlucky yote.

Funny you mention "wanton waste". I was just discussing this with a group of shooters tonight at the range. Seems that some of them have the idea of shooting rabbits and using them to retrain coyotes to come to the call. I got a stern warning several years ago from a Game Warden who enlightened me on "wanton waste". Man, there are too many laws to keep track of. Just don't get caught wasting game animals!!!Not right off the top of my head. But you better get used to taking them home and eating them because they are classified a game animal in California. Leaving them lay is considered wanton waste and an offense you can be cited for.

I love California...is there any other state that has microstamping, waiting periods for handguns and long arms, limits on how many hand guns you can buy per month, lead ammo bans-restrictions, no spring bear season, no cougar hunting, 50 caliber rifles are illegal, 10 round magazine limits, your AR-15 has to be in no less than 20 pieces to be legal, State DOJ fee ($25), gun lock rules, gun safe rules, a $40 resident hunting license...and the kicker that truly makes CA unique...don't leave a tick infested Jack Rabbit in the field to waste (coyote will eat it anyway) or we will cite you so we can give the money to some entitlement program that is sinking CA faster than the Titanic. Not right off the top of my head. But you better get used to taking them home and eating them because they are classified a game animal in California. Leaving them lay is considered wanton waste and an offense you can be cited for.
