I just finished reading through one of my many magzines and was checking out the full page add for the BSA Sweet 17 scopes. What is the general feeling on this product?

I wouldn't put a BSA scope on any firearm I own or airgun for that matter. When it comes to glass you get what you pay for.The best scopes I've found for the least amount of money is the Mueller scopes.
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

I've never owned a BSA ... to be honest I can't even tell you what one would run???? It sure was a pretty picture, though!

I have one that you can have if you want it. Their glass stinks.
If it flies it dies, If it runs its done, Hook'it, snag'it, gig'it, just kill itFire up the grill cause deer huntin ain't catch and releaseI dig hot chicks in camo bikini's with guns in their hands.

I had one on my .17 HMR. It did not hold the x going from 100-200-300 and back. I sent it back.Steve

I had a Sweet 17 and would have thrown it in the garbage but they gave me my money back instead. It would not hold POI on my .17HMR. I know what you're thinking, the awesome recoil of the MAGNUM caliber must be the cause.
I was very disappointed in it, but the idea is a good one.

Heath, Don't believe a word of what everyone is telling you... The BSA scope is one very fine paint stirrer &/or bumper jack. Wouldn't trade it for the world (hehe)Frank

I have a BSA but not the sweet 17 but it works. I have never had a problem with it and it holds POI just fine for me. They are not the best scope out there but I would compare them to the simmons or Bushnell's lower line.
