With all the rabbit post lately, I had to soothe my trigger finger with a little bunny busting of my own. So I packed my mini 14  and went out for a little action. I arrived just before sunrise to my destination and there were rabbits all over the place! I gave them heck until 8:30 AM, then off to work. When the dust cleared the tally was 29 fatalities, plus 3 MIA bunnies. Not too bad for a couple hour hunt with an ol' ranch rifle, eh? Posted Image

That's the perfect rifle for that type of shooting. Okay, well my AR might be slightly better. But that looks like a heap of fun there Jack. Good shootin!

way to go there.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Nice morning before the start of the work day. What load are you using in the Ranch rifle. I can't find anything that will shoot under 5" or 6" MOA. I am willing to try anything that will reduce the MOA.Shootist

I shoot the Winchester 45 gr JHP out of my mini, but it has been modified by ASI with a new barrel. There are several ways a guy can make a mini 14 shoot better, check out the mini 14 forum at perfectunion.com.

You could always sell it and buy one of the new Mini-14's. That article in Varmint Hunter had it shooting less than MOA.

There was alot of jacks there! B) I seen a couple of cottontails, but I let them pass.

Well you know where the coyotes will be tonight.

Would'nt that be considered baiting? B)

You're right SBF. The law reads "No feed, bait or other material capable of attracting a nongame mammal may be placed or used in conjunction with dogs for the purpose of taking any nongame mammals."So, you can use one or the other, but not both.
