I'm headed out tonight to fish tomarrow and maybe Fri. if it's good. the ocean is flat and the fish are supposed to be biting, I'll report back and maybe bring my camera, now that I just remembered to throw it in.

Just fished today and returned. Beautiful flat calm ocean. Limit of fish (6) with tree in the low 20's. Pics and story later, I'm tired.

We fished out by deep reef HMB for some nice salmon. My buddies boat the 7th 25' fisherman to come off the Farallon molds that he found in a field and brought it back to life, Sweetpea.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImageI hope these come out. As you can see the ocean looks like a lake it had to be one of the top ten days I've been out on the Northcoast and the catch was just iceing on the cake. This weekend is going to be a zoo over there due to rockfish season opening and salmon fishing being decent, plus a flat ocean.

Hey Dale, I got the pictures working. That box that you put the url in sometimes get an extra http:// in there. So I removed the extra and they look great. That is water you dream of for the ocean. Nice fish you guys caught. Thanks for sharing now how about sharing some fresh salmon steak. ;)

Thanks John for the help with the pics. Hard to believe how flat that ocean was, we were thinking of water skiing on the way in but no one wanted to go first. Salmon Fillet on the barby tonight. Forgot to say that after launching at 5:15 and about 3 miles out of the harbor we hit some debris and messed up the props so we had to come back in and put on the spare ones before heading out. So after the day not starting out too well, all was forgotten after those 20#'s hit the box. I wish I could of been quicker on the camera trigger on the whales.

That's too bad about the props, nice boat by the way. :o I sure like the looks of that water though. It's never like that when I go out. Stiff Neck gets rain clouds I get high seas. ;) Don't worry about the whale pictures just getting out is what it's all about. ;)

The only time I've ever been out was a deep sea fishing trip, and you guessed it, it RAINED ;) and stormed and I was sure the boat was going to go down. And out of 15+ guys the only thing we caught was a single halibut.

Wow Ben I was right. If you and I went out deep sea fishing they'd have another "Perfect Storm!" ;) ;)

On the bright side the captain pointed out a great white shark eating a seal within eyesite of the GG bridge. The pool of blood was about as wide as my house. He said it was a rare sight even for him, so we watched it for a few minutes before heading back in. Very cool.
