Midway and Midsouth show this new bullet as coming soon. Actually Midway says it is expected on 11/11/2009. It seems that information about the new rounds is nonexistent. One guess is that the NTX is for Non ToXic. Could this be the lead free 17 rimfires for the Condor Zone?If anyone knows anything, fess up. Inquiring minds want to know.

We can only hope. The Winchester non-lead .22 was supposed to be out early this year but so far is a no-show. I hope they are not just dangling a carrot.

I emailed Hornady, here is their reply: "The round will be a lead free bullet that is designed to expandrapidly. It will be designed for varmints. Thanks"

Midway now shows a date expected for all the NTX ammo of 1/18/2010. Before it was 11/11/1009. I think I've been through this routine before.

I was afraid they would start doing that. As you say it seems like we've been through this before.

I can't find them in stock yet but they have the NTX and the pricing available at the bigger ammo suppliers. Unfortunately by the time they get them in stock we won't be able to buy them mail order. :doh[1]:

Here's the link on Hornady's website where they say these will be California compliant lead-free. http://www.hornady.c...ore/NTX-newammo
