Oh noes.....breaking news at the Wister this past Saturday I seen the Warden bring in a Tundra Swan. He was not happy! (Pics later) I don't know if I should type the whole story of everything that I've seen & heard because I don't want to mess the the current case that these individuals are in. You heard it here first folks. I'm sure Western Outdoor News will have more about it later.

Real common with new Nimrods. Many states allow you to shoot a Swan or two a year, also many states allow Sandhill Cranes to be hunted. Personally I've never understood how you could mistake a Swan for a Snow Goose but I guess for a Nimrod it's possible. They say they are good table fare. I've tried Sandhill Crane and it was OK but nothing to brag about.

It’s time for another Wister report. Let's go back a week to 1-13-10, my bro & I got in on the sweat line. We got 6 ducks for the day. Would have had a chance at some snows but as always somebody else in another blind shoots and the geese flared off.
So now let's go the following weekend. Not much to say about that weekend except we got skunked. No ducks! That's all I have to say about that.Let's see what a little winter storm can bring in on 1-20-10. It brought us into a few ducks and some very muddy roads. We ended up getting 10 ducks & no geese. It was cold, a little windy and bright blue sky most of the day. As soon as the clouds started coming in we high tailed it out of there. We stay until about noon.
