I just purchased a new Savage 12LRPV in 6mmBR.Now for the scope, rings & base.Use of rifle is varmints & target - 500 yds+Scope more than likely NightForce NXS 8-32x56Looking at Picatinny bases:Opticsplanet.net has a NF-MT-20MOA base for $114 - (steel I believe).I need advise on this:Any other bases? Better prices? Is 20 MOA enough (I doubt I would ever shoot over 1000 yds)Which rings & where?

http://egw-guns.com/store/ EGW picatinny base (20 MOA) $40 and a damn fine mount. I have one set up on my Tikka.http://www.libertyop...com/index1.html Seekins Precision Rings. I also use these rings. Awesome rings!Talk to Scotty at Liberty Optics for the best price on the rings and great customer service. I got my mount from ebay, as EGW is a seller there and usually sell cheaper on ebay then their website.
