So I'm setting in my ground blind with my bow this morning for opening day of deer season. (D3-5) After setting about an hour I notice a squirrel in the oak tree above me about 10 yards away. So I replace my arrow with a field point draw back and hit the squirrel in the hind end. So there he sets and barks with my arrow half way threw him. I'm thinking all his barking might bring in a coyote. No such luck. After about an hour of whining he finally chews the arrow in half. $10.00. So I grab another field tipped arrow and proceed to stick it in a tree branch right under him. $20.00. Now I'm out of field tipped arrows, so I walk home (about a hundred yards) and grab 2 more field tipped arrows. Shoot the first one and it breaks. $30.00 The fourth arrow brings the squirrel out of the tree, but the arrow is still up there. ($40.00) The squirrel runs off? with 6 inches of my original arrow still sticking out of his hind end. Is this fun or what? How many more arrows should I go get in case a deer comes in? I only have 10 left.

you should have come back with a shotgun and got your arrow back then you would have saved money.

Get some blunts. That way they only stick a little in the tree after they break :smiley-innocent-halo-yellow: .Jado points work great for tree shots. Only ten arrows? Need to get them in the head or chest. 10Bucks thats cheap. Yes squirrels are evil.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
