Ok I have been looking for a good place to go hunting in california that would be a place to also do some learning from. I have heard of places that put on hunt or have ranches for hunting and they also help train you in Dressing out and even quatering the animals. Has anyone heard of any places or even recommend some places?I feel that first hand experience can go along way.

Out by Fort Hunter Liggett (King City) is a private ranch for hogs. I'm pretty sure it's $350/day (guaranteed hunt - no kill = no pay) for up to 150lbs and $500 for trophy hogs.At least you'll get to shoot something, have some meat for the freezer and have your guide show you how to gut, quarter and skin.

I'm moving down to Pasadena in December and that hog ranch sounds like the real deal to me!
