Has anyone hunted jacks with this round? If so, how did it do? If not, what do ya think?

It's a nice little round if you keep the distance to under 100 yards.

I would think that its more than ample to take a Jack.. Like Shooter John says, keep distance in mind. Good Luck !

Decent shot placement with the 17 HM2 = dead jack. The HM2 is a nice accurate round in the right gun. But, if you want more range and more splatt, get the 17 HMR.

Definitely works well within 100 yards. Bring some shooting sticks and you'll be fine.Attached File  Copy_of_DSC01234.JPG   92.99K   47 downloadsThe big one 3rd from the left was hit at 110 yards, never did find a entrance or exit wound, I just scared him to death :)

Thanks to all of you.Heywood, that's what I wanted to see.I do have a few 22 mags, but I'd love to try the HM2 on jacks. My concern was that the bullet might fragment on bone too much, and not penetrate enough!
