Thanks for the info. I think I am gonna go with the 40 grainers, but I am going to plug it all into a ballistic calc and check drops and ranges, dont think ill be shooting much past 250 with this, past that ill grab the 7 magYou wont have any probs with the 1/8 twist as Shooter John mentioned. I shoot the 40's from My Tikka T3 with a stout load of H335 powder, and get great results. The Tikka also likes the 60 Vmax as well. Sometimes they make Big holes in Coyotes depending upon distance and shot placement. I have found the Nosler 40 BT to be a little better on fur, and they shoot good from the Tikka as well. However they are a little more costly. Wait till you hit a Ground squirrel with a 40 Vmax.. you will be amazed! Good Luck.

Wow, good shootin! Those things just make a cantaloupe sized hole out the back of a yote with those kinda speeds! They won't come apart, they should do fine. They shoot well out of my 1in9 twist Savage pushed real hard at over 3700 fps.

I do use factory shotgun shells exclusively however, & years ago I used nothing but Fiocchi for quail hunting. Then for a few years they were impossible to find, at least in the stores where I live. So I started pattern testing all over again with various "stuff" & settled on Winchester & PMC loads. I have been with them ever since, especially Winchester, & especially since they are always available.
But a big

I wasn't terribly DISpleased with my Savage when I found a 55 gr bullet that it shot well, but I thought it could do better. Now I know what to try next. Thanks!!
