And I thought my buddy was the only one out there hunting from a corolla! last year we met up in Sonora to get our tags signed off, we proceeded to the fire station and the firemen were laughing their butts off until they got a good look at the 4 x 4 muley he had lashed down accross the little car, then he told them where he got it and they couldn't believe him. I love making fun of him, but truth is you make the best of what you have to work with. of course there are limitations to just about all vehicles, but smart driving plays a big part of getting in and back out safely.my recomendation for the best hunting vehicle ever made is of course a Jeep Scrambler, people will have to get their own cause I'm going to the grave with mine.Thats my hunting rig believe it or not. People sure look surprised when you pull up in the middle of the woods in a corolla but the look on there faces when it has a deer in the back is priceless!!!

It will carry up to four people into the field and wander over moderately rough terrain. On the highway it gets about 15 MPG and with it's 32 gallon fuel tank it has a 400 mile highway range with a little reserve. The gvwr is 6300 lbs and the actual empty weight is about 4400 lbs. It has 225,000 miles on the odometer and uses a quart of oil about every 3,000 miles. It is bone stock. No, it's not a rock crawler or anything like a competition rig of any sort. But, it has taken me over a lot of back roads and trails that were far from pavement and always brought me back since 1992.
