This is going to be a great year for Rabbits!!! I have seen tons of them running around! Not sure what is open out your way anymore but being a bow hunter gives you a little edge on the shot gunners and rifle shooters.. Is that area towards La Habra Heights still public? You may want to head out to the basin towards San Bernardino Mountains or Baldy.. Get a map and look for public or BLM land.. Good luck.

Too bad El Dorado Park in Long Beach doesn't allow hunting. There's plenty of rabbits and squirrels. Sigh. Even though there's an archery range there inside the park. Too bad. First time bowhunting anything this year. Do you mind if you share what you find out. I'm not too far from you in Long Beach. I'd like to take out my son wabbit hunting this year. I'm looking for local areas as well to bowhunt.

Just curious, are air rifles allowed in shotgun/bow areas?
