I have a Rem 870 that I put a short stock on for ladies and kids to use when I get a chance to take them coyote calling. Yesterday I was looking at lead free 2-3/4" ammo and found some Hevi-Shot loads that I had never heard about. On Hevi-Shot's web-site they are called Maximum Defense. I just ordered some from Cabela's. Cabela's calls them Hevi-Shot Personal Defense. These Hevi-Shot 2-3/4" loads are 1 oz of "T" shot, 35 pellets per shell. They are a low recoil Personal Defense load that should work great on close range coyotes, for the people that can't handle heavy recoil.

Unless you have to use non-lead, I would try some 2 3/4" 4/0 buckshot. They are way cheaper and very deadly on yotes. I use them for my home defense guns also.
