Saw this, seems a really good deal hard to pass, http://www.opticspla...es-ac10032.htmlAnyone has experience with Barskas? Heard they're made for Russian Military.I know I get what I pay for. Only need a very basic scope, zero in and can handle the recoil of RWS 34.Is it worth the $40?

Buddy's friend was shooting ground squirrels with one mounted on a 10/22 and it still broke.I would say no if you want cheap get a tasco and simons or bushnel banner.

I know that is a very old post but I'm board and cant shoot today. A scope for an air rifle has to be a lot tougher than you think. The reason is that an air rifle (especially a spring piston air rifle) recoils in both directions and will literally shake a cheap scope apart. Now to the original question. No Barska doesn't manufacture these optics for the Russian Military. If they ever have made an optic for the Russian military, I am sure they are/were much better than these. I personally would never put a Barska optic on a rifle I paid for.
