Shot a Jack today,25 yds with AR-15 55gr V-max. I must of hit him in the neck it nearly severd its head with out blowing his head up. Funny thing was he was running away and bullet some how blew its heart out of its body 3' feet away and it was still PUMPING :lol: ;)

No Ive taken a bunch the last 15 years with it,but it is the first Jack that I blew the heart out of the body ands watched it continue pumping! Isn't that wierd?

Sweet shot. Never seen a heart 3' away still pumping that must have been wierd.

Very. I bet you dont do that again any time soon!I used to skin snapping turtles as a young guy, and we would often times find the heart still beating slightly once we were inside their shells. They are some of the toughest critters I've ever seen.

You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Ive had them laid open and the hart still beating but never had a hart blow out :angry:

The second jack I took with the .204 had a heart seperation issue as well. Head gone, front legs hanging in a bush and the heart laying 5-feet away on an old game trail...crazy!
