Welcome to the forum. We SoCal guys have to stick together. From the lack of response, doesn't seem like anyone is hunting Jacks only down here. There is always the desert...but the season (for humans to be in the desert) is just about over. Early mornings only. I see a Jack or two while shooting varmints, but never spend any time on them. What is your past experience with the long ears?

Imperial Valley; may not be close to LA but we've still got some down here hopping around.

Go to the Mojave Preserve. We were out there hunting yotes this past weekend and the place was crawling with jackrabbits. Unfortunately, it was not crawling with coyotes. We nailed our animals in Landers and the 29 Palms area.
